Dr. Alexandra Morando, a Pittsburgh native, graduated with her Bachelors in Natural Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh. After volunteering at local hospitals and focusing her efforts on the study of science and global medicine, she decided to pursue a career in complementary and alternative healthcare. She graduated with her Doctorate in Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College and her Masters of Science in Acupuncture from Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She also had the once in a lifetime opportunity to receive 100 hours of additional clinical training at Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of TCM located in the breathtaking city of Hangzhou. While studying abroad, she was able to experience Chinese medicine in its country of origin and observe how experts in the field assess, diagnose and treat a variety of conditions. Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of TCM is a fully integrated hospital that seamlessly blends Traditional Chinese medical treatments with Western medicine in order to provide patients with holistic, evidence-based care.
With her diverse education, Dr. Alexandra was inspired to provide her patients with the opportunity to be assessed and treated as a whole person. She strives to naturally balance and restore the body to promote optimal health and wellness. Through many hours of clinical training, she understands that no two patients are alike - that is why she emphasizes truly integrated and individualized treatments in order to address your specific healthcare needs. Dr. Carol Alonge is an acupuncturist, Chinese herbalist and chiropractor with over ten years of experience working with all ages encompassing a wide array of injuries and illnesses. She found her passion for helping others at a young age and utilizes her extensive knowledge and experience as a way to help others reach their ideal health. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Gannon University, which fueled her drive to better understand health on all levels. She went on to graduate from Southern California University of Health Sciences with a Doctorate of Chiropractic and a Masters of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. She blends her knowledge of Eastern and Western medicine to give a holistic approach to healing. She has worked in the community focusing on fertility, gastrointestinal issues, sports injuries and chemotherapy side effects. She has volunteered her time at numerous sporting events, veterans’ fairs, cancer centers, and women’s health facilities.
Dr. Carol has always lived an active lifestyle and understands the importance of holistic care after utilizing it for her own injuries. She now strives to educate people about these benefits and help them get back to living a life they love. When she is not in the office she is usually exploring new areas to hike and camp or cooking new healthy concoctions in the kitchen.
